"i create a language when i paint. i've been told my art looks like ancient Egyptian writing, Hieroglyphics.
my art is a language that immediately confronts the viewer as an "outsider."
however, as the viewer's eye continues to give analysis, at some point a beautiful thing happens.
the viewer finds understanding in the language and becomes an insider. or does he? do we ever?
hence, the thesis of my work. in life we remain 'outsiders' on a quest to 'get in'.
And there lies the beauty."
